Stacey Dash usually got roles that portrayed her as a youthful, energetic high school student, also because of her young beauty that seemed to radiate when she was onscreen. In 1988, she had her first major film called Moving, where she costarred with Richard Pryor. Minor movies included Mo Money, Renaissance Man, and Enemy Territory. Stacey Dash had an obvious talent for making people laugh, and this led to her being cast in her breakthrough film Clueless, as Di Davenport, best friend of the main character played by Alicia Silverstone. This was soon followed by a television series of the movie, although without Alicia Silverstone, where Stacey Dash stayed from 1996 to 1999. She was nominated a Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Supporting Actress in a Feature Film for her role in Clueless.
Stacey Dash also starred in the television series The Strip, although this was not successful and was cancelled after just a few episodes. She also starred in Cold Heart, Personals, Getting Played, and Gang of Roses, as well as a guest appearance in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her most recent movie was with other big stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Preston, and Christina Applegate in the comedy The View from the Top. Stacey Dash has also appeared in music videos for Kanye West’s All Falls Down, Emotional by Carl Thomas, and Favorite Girl by Marques Houston.
